These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website tutera.me and the one-to-one online tuition services (the "Services") provided by Tutera Academic Services LLC ("Tutera", "we", "us", or "our"), registered in [Country of registration] [under company/licence no. [XXXXX]]. By accessing our website, booking a trial, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Our Services are intended for school students, most of whom are minors. If you are under 18, you may only use the Services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By booking on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian, that you have authority to accept these Terms on the student's behalf, and that the information you provide is accurate.
To access certain features, including the parent window, you may need to register an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email] if you suspect any unauthorised use.
Tutera provides live, one-to-one online tuition aligned to the CBSE syllabus, together with supporting features such as a personal mentor, wellbeing support, recorded sessions, written transcripts, and a parent window. Features, subjects, and grade coverage may change over time. We do not guarantee any particular academic result, grade, or outcome; success depends on many factors including the student's engagement and effort.
You may book a free trial session before committing to a paid plan. Paid sessions are scheduled by agreement and shown in your account. Rescheduling, cancellation, and missed-session rules are described in our Refund Policy. We may reschedule a session where a teacher is unavailable and will offer a suitable alternative.
Fees for paid plans are as displayed on our Pricing page or as otherwise agreed in writing. Unless stated otherwise, fees are billed per subject on a monthly basis and are payable in advance. All fees are in the currency shown at the time of purchase and [inclusive/exclusive] of any applicable taxes. We may update our fees on reasonable notice. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
You agree to use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You must not: harass or abuse teachers, mentors, or staff; share your access with people outside your household; record, copy, redistribute, or resell our sessions, materials, or transcripts except as permitted; attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems; or use the Services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
Sessions are recorded and transcribed as part of the Services. Recordings and transcripts are made available to you for personal, non-commercial revision use only. All content, materials, lesson plans, branding, and software provided through the Services remain the intellectual property of Tutera or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them solely for the student's own learning.
The Services are provided on an "as available" basis. While we work hard to deliver high-quality teaching, we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that they will meet every expectation. Online sessions depend on your own device and internet connection, which are your responsibility. Wellbeing and mentor support are supplementary and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or emergency care.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tutera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of academic outcomes. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Services shall not exceed the fees paid by you to us in the [three (3)] months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. On termination, any outstanding fees remain payable, and provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country/jurisdiction of registration]. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of [Country/jurisdiction]. Where you use the Services from another country, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your home country may also apply. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@tutera.me or WhatsApp [+971 50 000 0000].
